PC Rohan Scarlett accused of Islington police station assault

A Metropolitan Police officer has been charged with assaulting a person at a north London police station.

PC Rohan Scarlett, 46, who is based in Lewisham, south-east London, has been charged with assault by beating.

The alleged incident is said to have taken place in the rear yard of Islington police station on 20 February.

PC Scarlett has been suspended and is due at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on 28 May.
