No charges will be filed in the case of a California woman who died after a worker at an elderly living facility refused to give CPR when requested by a 911 operator, the Bakersfield Police Department said Wednesday.
Investigators determined no laws were broken, police said in a press release.
Lorraine Bayless, 87, died after she collapsed in a dining room February 26 at Glenwood Gardens.
A Bakersfield fire dispatcher asked a worker at the facility to start CPR, but she refused. Glenwood Gardens has a policy against its employees providing medical care.
