TVC-Mall, a popular third party Apple component website, recently added a new section to their online store that includes a number of third party Lightning connectors and adapters at very cheap prices.
There are a number of different Lightning connector cables available from the site, including 2 meter long cables that are available in different colors. Whereas the official Apple cables go for $19 for a Lightning to USB cable, these unofficial cables start at just $3.62. You can also get cheap Lightning to 30-pin adapters for $3.40, dual Lightning and 30-pin to USB adapters for $3.40 and a bunch of other Lightning connectors that meet different needs.
There have been some third-party Lightning cables seen on sites like Amazon, but this is the first time that such a large selection has been available.
It’s worth noting, though, that cheap usually means, well, cheap. The cables on this site could have issues with things like data or charging, or they could work perfectly well. So while you may be saving a few bucks with these, it might be worth spending a little more to get something that is guaranteed to work well, like Apple’s official cables.
