Champion Ganda murder: Teenager stabbed repeatedly

A teenager who was killed on an east London street had suffered multiple knife wounds, police have said.

Champion Ganda, 17, was attacked on Sandringham Road, Forest Gate, on Thursday afternoon.

A post-mortem examination found he had been stabbed a number of times, with a fatal wound to the chest.

Two people aged 17 and one 18-year-old, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are in custody. A 21-year-old arrested has been released on bail.

A 16-year-old who was also stabbed in the attack has now been discharged from hospital.

Det Ch Insp Dave Whellams said: "At this stage it appears there was an altercation between the two victims and another group.

"We encourage any witnesses or anyone with information on the incident to come forward."
