A fifth person has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a teenager was stabbed to death in east London.

Champion Ganda, from Romford, was stabbed multiple times at Sandringham Road, Forest Gate and died at the scene on Thursday from a wound to the chest.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in Leyton and remains in police custody.

A 21-year-old, an 18-year-old and two 17-year-olds were arrested on suspicion of murder and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A 16-year-old boy who was also stabbed in the incident has been released from hospital and is recovering, Metropolitan Police added.
