SanDisk Pays $307 Million for Smart Storage Systems
Flash chip manufacturer SanDisk said it will pay $307 million to buy Smart Storage Systems, a provider of flash-based storage products, from the private equity firm Silver Lake Partners. The firm had invested in Smart when it went private during the summer of 2011. About 250 people will join SanDisk once the transaction is completed.
