Shepherds Bush Central line Tube station shut after 'track fire'

A west London Tube station was closed during the evening rush hour after "a trackside fire", the fire brigade said.

The small fire occurred at Shepherd's Bush station at 18:55 BST and was tackled by three firefighter crews, a London Fire Brigade spokesman said.

Trains between Marble Arch and White City were suspended in both directions from 19:05 until 19:47.

Transport for London apologised to customers and said tickets would be accepted on local bus services.
