Man critical after assault in Greenwich

A man is in a critical condition in hospital after he was attacked in south-east London.

Metropolitan Police officers were called to the junction of Greenwich High Road and Norman Road at about 02:00 BST to reports of an assault.

They found the 34-year-old man with injuries. He remains in hospital and his condition is said to be critical.

There have been no arrests over the assault and police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
