Woolwich soldier killing: Lee Rigby inquest adjourned

Soldier Lee Rigby was killed as he returned from work at the Tower of London, the opening of the inquest into his death has heard.

Police told Southwark Coroner's Court he was attacked in Woolwich with a meat cleaver and a knife after being hit by a car.

A post-mortem examination found that Drummer Rigby, 25, died on 22 May from "multiple incised wounds".

Andy Moore reports from the court, where the coroner sent the Rigby family her own condolences before adjourning.
