Girl, 11, dies after lorry collision in Streatham Hill

An 11-year-old girl has died after being hit by a lorry in south London.

Officers were called to the South Circular road in Streatham Hill, on Tuesday afternoon.

The girl was taken to hospital with severe head injuries but died later in hospital.

The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene but was not arrested, a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said. The force has appealed for witnesses to come forward.
