People worship 3 Floyds Dark Lord Imperial Russian Stout as if it were a religious object, so it's only appropriate that a place called The Beer Temple is hosting a series of events centered around it. Golden Tickets for Dark Lord Day sold out seconds after they went on sale, and if you didn't happen to get one (or even if you did) The Beer Temple has plenty of ways for you to experience the rapture for yourself.

On Friday, April 26th, at 7 p.m., they will be giving away a ticket to Dark Lord Day. Yes, you heard right - it's being given away in a drawing. Stop in all day to enter. Even if you don't win (or don't want to go) Goose Island will be hosting a tasting of their vintage collection that day - think of it as a really really great consolation prize.

On Saturday, April 27th, if you were one of the lucky souls who got a ticket to see the Dark Lord, The Beer Temple will be hosting shuttles down to 3 Floyds. You have to buy a ticket, but you'll be sure to be surrounded by your fellow beer enthusiasts and you won't have to worry about driving yourself. You have to order tickets through the Chicago Brew Bus in advance.

Sunday, April 28th is the big day. The Beer Temple will be serving tastings of the last six years of Dark Lord Imperial Russian Stout. Whether you have had tickets for years or if you are just a newcomer to this particular cult, you can join the party now. The tasting runs from noon to 5 p.m.

The Beer Temple is located at 3185 N. Elston Avenue.
