Landmark Century Centre Cinema Planning Renovations

By Amy Cavanaugh in Arts & Entertainment on Apr 7, 2013 4:00PM

Landmark Century Centre Cinema in Lakeview is planning renovations that will include adding liquor to the menu, Patch reports.

Patch reported that the Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce issued a statement saying that

The independent films will still be housed at Century Cinema and they have applied for a liquor license... The plans will be included with the Clark Street Task Force as part of the strategy to help attract new business to Century Cinema and the Clark Street corridor. The plans should be made public shortly regarding the details of the addition of dining and the build out as they go through the community process for development.

The shopping center is 170,000 square feet, and its tenants include the theater, Aveda Institute, CVS Pharmacy, Victoria's Secret and LA Fitness. What exactly the renovation entails is the question—according to Patch, Ald. Tom Tunney's office and South East Lake View Neighbors don't have information beyond that the renovation will include expanding the menu.
